Principal, Building Performance

Namratha is a building physicist and energy professional with a Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA. Her work sits at the intersection of building design, energy performance, and sustainability, with experience spanning the United States, India, the Netherlands, the UK, and Dubai.

She began her professional career in New York, working on infrastructure projects and gaining experience in the practical delivery of complex construction projects. Her career then moved into building performance, where she worked on energy audits, LEED projects, energy modelling, and building performance analysis.

As an energy modeller and sustainability consultant, Namratha has worked across both new construction and existing buildings. Her work has included whole-building energy modelling, energy audits, LEED documentation, daylight modelling, decarbonization studies, and analysis of building energy performance.

In the Dutch market, she worked on the decarbonization of existing building portfolios, developing transition pathways toward net-zero targets and assessing buildings against CRREM and Paris-aligned pathways. Her experience also includes UK projects involving BREEAM and building performance, as well as projects in Dubai, where climate and building performance present a very different set of design considerations.

Namratha's approach is grounded in building physics. Rather than looking at sustainability as a checklist, she focuses on understanding how a building's envelope, systems, climate, occupancy, and operation interact, and how that understanding can translate into better design and better-performing buildings.

Today, she works with architects, engineers, developers, and building owners to bring building performance into the design and decision-making process through energy modelling, performance analysis, decarbonization, and climate-responsive design.
